Tricks and Treats Blog Hop

I am so excited to link up with my Elementary Entourage peeps and some other awesome bloggers to bring you a Tricks and Treats Blog Hop! There are so many fun ideas and great freebies and sales to help you have an awesome Halloween!
My kiddos are a little extra wild when Halloween is near. To keep my classroom running smoothly we take frequent "brain breaks". My students work hard to earn a break, they are so excited to get the wiggles out! We have been watching the Halloween videos from Super Simple Songs on YouTube.

Now here is a treat just for you! I LOVE the Dollar Tree, every time I walk into a store I get inspired! Back in September when the Halloween goodies were just being set out I found these goodies. I knew that they would make a great math center for my students!

Pumpkin Pie Gelato is AMAZING!!!

Baking is almost mandatory in the fall. This is one of my favorite recipes and its easy!

Easy Pumpkin Cake
Ingredients:
1 box of Spice Cake Mix
1 can of pumpkin
(You can add a handful of mini chocolate chips)
  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Mix two ingredients together. (Don't bother looking at the box. You don't need eggs, oil, or anything else, just the pumpkin.)
  • Transfer batter to a greased 9 inch pan. (Mixture should be thick, don't worry.)
  • Bake 25 minutes.
  • ENJOY!!

You are not a true fall lover if you don't have a funny tee! I am in LOVE with this hilarious shirt!

Back to School Bash

Back to school!! School actually started August 11th.I have had my kiddos for three weeks and we have a great little community/family vibe going on. One of my favorite classroom activities is Foodie Friday. My students look froward to it all week.

Here are the Foodie Friday snacks we have made so far.

I created this to help my students write about and illustrate the snacks we create. This can be made into a cute class book or individual student books.

Thirty Minute Thursday-Meals Made in 30 Minutes

Hello everyone I am so excited to share a quick weeknight meal idea with you! Getting a good meal on the table can be hard during the school year!!
Meatloaf is my husbands favorite food. I think he would eat it every night if I made it. This is a quick school night recipe I use often.

I also make "Cheesy Corn" to go with the meatloaf. This is a stick to your ribs kind of meal.

This is one of my favorite things for cooking quickly. Each square is equal to one clove of garlic, just pop and go!!

I serve "baked"potatoes with this meal. I use the microwave to quickly cook the potatoes and Sister  Schubert rolls round out the meal.
